is it possible for a brit to get a 60 day tourist visa in hong kong or singapore? are they more strict than lao etc?

Singapore requires a return or onward travel ticket. This from recent reports.

thanks joe, i am not very good at this whole visa thing as i have been here on a wp and now nearly 90 days on visa on arrival.
