October 26, 200817 yr My little Canon i70 compact printer died. The trouble code lights say that the printer head is bad. A new print head is about 2,000 baht and I'm not 100 percent sure that would fix it. I stopped at my regular small computer shop and looked at new printers. Naturally they recommended what I thought was an expensive model. It is a scanner, copier and printer. The unit is guaranteed for one year. I was shocked at the price. 2,500 baht. They always get you with the expensive ink cartridges, right? Black is 550 baht and color is 650 baht. Anyways, I bought it and am amazed at how well it works. For 2,500 baht it is a throw away. If it works well for a year I won't really mind buying another new one. ADDED - I forgot to say that HP included a free one gig USB Kingston thumb drive. Edited October 26, 200817 yr by Gary A
October 26, 200817 yr you should buy the canon mp145, wich the ink memory can be reseted and original cartridge refilled. http://budihlm.blogspot.com/2008/01/resett...mp150mp160.html the price is around 2300 bath, it's also possible attach it a continuous ink system but then the price is rising up by 2000 bath.

I'll tell you a little secret. I never had any problems with my canon printer until it ran out of ink and I couldn't find a replacement cartridge. Much against my better judgement, I refilled the tank. It worked fine the first time. The second time I used the printer it took quite a while to get it to print. The third time I wanted to use the printer, it gave me the print head bad signal. I think I ruined the print head myself by using other than genuine Canon ink.
