Crime In Huahin, Etc.

Hi everyone! My name is Elin and I'm a writer from Stockholm, Sweden.

I'm currently working on a novel that partly takes place in Huahin in the years 2001 - 2007. I visited myself in 2006 and might be going back pretty soon, but what I'm really interested in is what it was like in the years before.

What I'm looking for is someone who might have information on any of these subjects:

- Organized crime in and around Huahin.

- How the foreign tourist industry began to flourish in Huahin.

- How Huahin was affected by the government campaign against drugs in 2002-2003.

- Contingent corruption within the Huahin Police Department.

- Drug business in and around Huahin in general.

I have read a lot of webpages and articles about this, so mainly I'm interested in 'witness stories' or even just rumours from expats living in Huahin.
