elinn, now you have gone to shouting, so I guess this thread is finished. I was going to tell you that I lived in Hua Hin, 2005 and 2006, and one night the boy I had left my motosai with whilst I ran to BKK on the train was reported to be selling yaba from my bike. Another time, I think it was the same young man who was riding on the back as we approached the flyover by Kao Takiab, around midnight. Four young men who may have been on yaabaa, riding two motorcycles, tried to stop us by throwing a stick in our wheels. Is that organized crime? That is the best rumour and innuendo that I can come up with.

And if you want to make a BAD choice about where to base a book about Thailand's underground/drug/corruption scene ... there just couldn't be a worse place than where the palace is!

Sounder --- that lad's a lass! (I bet you have heard that before!)

Why not get in touch with Thailand based author Andrew Hicks, he might be in a good position to help. He is a member of the Thai Visa forum.

Other than that, I do not think you will find much of real substance here.

Good luck anyway!

It occasionally happens! :o
