Just back from the UK with my new multiple entry O visa.

I decided this time rather than waste money on train and bus fares going to the Thai Embassy in Hull I would apply by post. Posted form together with my passport on Monday. Passport was returned with new visa stamp on Wednesday morning. Quite simply outstanding service and well done Thai Embassy Hull. :o

If it was posted on a Monday, and you got it back on the Wednesday morning, Hull must have literally opened the envelope, stuck a visa in your pp and sent it straight back!!

BTW, do you live near Hull or in the north of England? That's outstanding service!!

Yes I have to agree they must have done that.

Posted in Keighley P.0 West Yorks at approx 12am and recieved back in house in Bradford first thing Wednesday morning. Postage was guaranteed next day delivery which cost just over a fiver. I also paid a extra £6 on top of the visa to the Thai Embassy in Hull for return postage.

Yes Bradford and yes it is outstanding service!

It's a consulate, not an embassy.

Yes sorry my mistake you are correct it is a consulate and not a embassy.

I have had the same service from Hull with a Non-Immigrant B Visa. I sent it one day, they must have processed and posted the next day and I got it the day after. So 72 hours door to door to door.

I advise using Special Delivery envelopes both ways and I paid by cash (yes £100 in the post) which means no delays with authorising cheques/cards.

I had the same experience. They say they aim to process all visa applications on the day of receipt and it appears they are usually successful in doing this.

By using the Royal Mail's "Special Delivery - Next Day Guaranteed" service, which costs £4.65 each way, you will get your passport back from anywhere in Great Britain in 2 days. One day there, one day back.

For payment, I used an authorised debit card payment and judging from the receipt they returned with my passport, it took them around a minute to process. So there were no delays with that method of payment.

Well done, Hull.
