International Flights

Will be flying BKK to LON quite soon and just wanted an update on what is and what is not allowed in terms of what you pack.

And do the same restrictions apply to both the bags that are held in cargo and those that you carry-on?

I recall recently a restriction on liquids. Does that still apply? I'm particularly interested to know about foodstuffs. Is it that only dried food that is packed is allowed, and that anything like sauces is not?

Any info appreciated...

Thanks Wiley. So if liquids and other such foodstuffs are packed in your main luggage and not in your carry-on bag, there's no problem?

Your airline should have specific answers to your questions ....

There's no problem with liquids; vodka, brandy, wine, beer etc. travel regularly in my suitcase, from all destinations. What you need to be aware of are the foodstuffs which are prohibited. Here is a link where can you find the necessary information. http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/illegali/allow/whatfood.htm
