Possibly I am the last to know, but I have just read that people with Royal Skandia (IOM) bonds containing deposits in Kaupthing Singer Friedland IOM are effectively without any guarantee of compensation.

The IOM guarantee of £20,000 applies to the Royal Skandia deposit in total, and not to individual investors. Nice one eh!

Presumably this will apply to all other bonds and all other banks/building societies.

Anyone here potentially exposed, and did your IFA explain this.
