Cat Calling Card

Featured Replies

I was, on the advice of message boards here and elsewhere, happily using CAT calling cards called CAT Phone Net bought in Chiang Mai, I had two and could transfer the balance.

I bought one in Bangkok today, asked for the same thing, then successfully transfered my balance, and realised it's called CAT Thai Card. Though the packaging is exactly the same and it accepted the balance... but doesn't allow 009 prefix, I had to use 001, so I got 9 minutes to UK for 200 baht, as opposed to an hour and fifty minutes on the previous.

So I tried to phone 1322 customer info, and it's just a 'press this and press that for various recorded messages' info.

But the cards look the same and accept a one way transfer of credit, so same company. Very frustrating. So, either watch which one you buy or buy a different one.

Just to say, I'm overlanding to Cambodia tomorrow so probably won't be back to answer the post. It's just in case I can stop someone buying the wrong thing.
