November 3, 200817 yr Hi All Will be heading to the UK on Wed and will need to use this trip as a visa run. How easy is it to get a TV from the Thai embassy in London? I have had a look at the website but can't see anything about how long it takes to process. I have an NZ passport. Do I need to make an appointment? Is it same-day processing? Apologies if I have missed seeing these details on the website. Alternatively, does anyone know the best place to go for a TV if I am staying in Gloucestershire? I have read that Hull is the bees knees for obtaining visas (v.helpful website!), but getting there seems to be awkward by train from where I'll be staying. Anyone know how long it takes to drive from Gloucestershire to Hull? Thanks in advance Pinacolada

Thanks in advance Pinacolada You can apply by mail and get your passport back within a few days. http://www.thaiconsul.co.uk/visas1.asp Birmingham may be within range if you wanted to go in person. http://www.thailand-visa.com/
November 3, 200817 yr Author Thanks for the replies. Oops, I should have mentioned we are only going for 7 days, and 2 of those days are a weekend. Birmingham might be worth a crack! Cheers
November 3, 200817 yr Cardiff is an easy run from most of Gloucestershire (where are you staying?) and is a much nicer city than Brum "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
November 3, 200817 yr Hull is very efficient. Have seen recent post were people mail on day 1 and get their passport back on day 3. Edited November 3, 200817 yr by Mario2008

I have had a look at the website but can't see anything about how long it takes to process. 2 working days (including the day you apply). Walk-in service. I've seen them do it faster, but you would have to provide real evidence of some kind of extraordinary circumstances... mk
November 13, 200817 yr Author Just back from UK this morning...zzzz.... Just want to say a big Thanks to Crossy for recommending Cardiff! Nice to be treated like a human being and have a laugh with the lovely lady at the consulate. Very quick and no dramas. Cheers
