Economical Telephone Servise

Which is most cheappist way to calling to outside countries from bangkok.

are there IP telephone service in bangkok?

Cheapest way is probably PC to PC calling with Skype or something similar - that costs 0Baht!

Officially VoIP is illegal in Thailand so that might be why there have been no replies to your earlier question. Of course, if you were to actually use one of those services and no-one was able to identify that your data was actually a phone call...

Search in this forum because VoIP has been discussed here before.

Another alternative is to use 001809 (or 009) as the international access code. Using that means that the call is routed over IP and therefore costs less. This is the eFONE service from CAT. Click here, click English, click Services and Products, Overseas Call Services and then click eFONE. Can't get a link directly to the eFONE page and don't have time now to work out how to do it...

TOT now offers international services

007 for ordinary intl calls

008 for VOIP

Good rates.

VoIP is available in many different forms. Either PC to Phone, Broadband IP Telephone or using a dedicated handset which connects directly to the internet, ie no need for any computer.

If you want more details let me know.
