I am thinking buying a DVD writer ( no blueray ) for my computer, my questions are :

Buy in Thailand or Australia (travel in 2 weeks)

Brand recommended

Price range not to much a issue..

Hi,

I've had good luck with Pioneer burners so far. As for where is cheaper, Australia or Thailand, I don't know, but burners are quite cheap anyhow nowadays, compared to what they cost when they first came on the market, so not sure you'd save that much by shopping around.
