Dog Problem

Featured Replies

Our Thai neighbours have a dog which they let roam about freely. It craps everywhere including in front of our gate sometimes which is very annoying.

We've tried talking to them but they speak little or no english and seem to be in the early stages of dementia.Basically, they dont give a shit,if youll pardon the pun !

Does anyone know of any powder or spray we could use to deter the dog ? I dont want to use poison because its not the dogs fault and, besides,we have two cats !

The use of poison is probably more appropriate on its owners ! :o

Thanks for any advice.

Maybe you could try to associate this behavior with something the dog doesn't like f.e. with water using a watergun or plantspray to scare him of, but you'll have to 'shoot' at the rigth time and catch him in the act. Good luck!

Or have home-made waterbaloons on several places around the house for you to grab and to throw (unseen) direction dog when you spot him.

It works quite well on cats. Just let us know if it works on a dog as well, please.

I had the same problem-bought a BB gun-nonlethal and it only took 3 days to retrain the Soi dogs-now they bolt when they see me

There are dog repellents available, both electronic (ultrasonic (for humans) noise generators) and chemical (pepper spray). You might try local pet stores.

If the dog's Siht comes from that particular person's dog - it is reasonable that you do not illegally retain it but return it to the rightful owner. Maybe in a nice bag to begin with if they choose not to accept it you might need to throw it at them.
