apparently the show in bangkok was wild and very well-received. i'm definitely going and have been spreading the good word. after all the same same in chiang mai it'll be nice to see something different: rock and roll accordion music!

plus guitarman's been on the up and up. good vibe going on there. convenient location too for that night as it's close to the river so folks could just walk there after watching the loi kratong happenings.

I'm a huge fan of the washboard and no-one was better at it than Derek Guyler* ('Corky' to his mates). If he's only half as good as good old Corky, it will be well worth the entrance fee - which I believe is ........ FREE!!

Can he play the Glockenspiel, I wonder?  Sooty can!!

Be there or be square.

* Not considered to be a member of the Mersey Beat Sound of the sixties, but a fine Scouser nonetheless.

I was there and Eddie Baytos and Joe Cummings did a great job. Probalby one the best live acts I've ever seen in Chiang Mai. I didn't like the first gig of Tracy Chapman. I'm sorry that's not her name. I think she's called Cherry Lee. After her was one more band playing, which was quite good.

I've heard Cherry playing a few times, she sings great and has a good repertoire. I can't think why you didn't like her, perhaps you like a different style of music.

Cheers Big Ears :-)
