Water And Elctric Bills

Featured Replies

I haven't paid my water or electric bills on time, where do I go to pay them now? 7 Eleven wouldn't let me pay there as they were overdue.

Thanks,

Konangrit

Lol, no, I can still pay them, but I don't know where the offices are. The bills were already overdue when I moved here a few weeks ago. I just got this months water bill and they have included last months on it, but instead of having the payment dates on it, there is just some writing in Thai. Guess I'll just have to go out and ask some Thais if no-one here is able to help.

Thanks,

Konangrit

You'll have to clear the electricity bill on central Pattaya road (coming from second road about 80 meters before 3th road, 40 meters before the telephone exchange, same side)

For the Water bill you have to go to the main water office. Take Sukhumvit direction Bkk, take the first U-turn after the Naklua traffic lights (you can't turn at the traffic lights themselves) drive back towards Pattaya, about 50 meters past the Naklua traffic lights turn left and you'll recognise the water office at the watertower they have, it's a couple hundred meters in the soi on the righthand side.

Thanks a lot, monty, just what I was after.

Very helpful as always, will go there when I finish work in a couple of hours.

Cheers,

Konangrit.........depends where you live in Pattaya, i live down Soi Nern Plub Wahn so come under Banglamung.......their office if you miss the 7-11 payment period is the left turn just before Banglamung Police station (as you go down Sukhumwit towards Bangkok) , office is 100 meters down the turn on the right. Water is in the same location as already posted above.

It would have been helpful if you had stated where you live in your original posting.

Just trying to make a suggestion not a criticism.

Better to pay the guy directly when he delivers the slip.

Not sure why there should be a time limit at 7-11.

They will accept my UBC payment anytime.

For some reason it's even impossible to pay your bills with internet banking when you're 1 day late :o (which happens often with the spiffy mail service here)

The system at Bangkok Bank simply refuses to accept your payment, and you'll have to run out to go pay in person... Bugger

Would not be a problem with automatic payments, but I don't trust these systems over here...

Sorry for not being of any use, but I had wondered the same thing a few times,( if my wife wasn,t around,) guess i should start paying attention to these things although all our bills come in Thai, anybody know if their is an English option :o

The best way to pay your water and electric bill is by direct debit, if you go to the water company and electric company and get the direct debit form (take your address with you and get them to fill in the form as it is in thai) then take the form to your bank (you need a bank account in thailand) they stamp the form take a copy, simply return the stamped form to the water/electric company.

The bill comes every month telling you how much they have taken from your account, easy.

The benifits, if you pay late, they sometimes remove the meter, which is a ball ache to get refiitted,

You never need pay a bill again.

If you have a thai account and it is not used for a period of time it becomes a dormant account, with a direct debit every month this is not possible..

It works for me and upto now has never created any problems

Thanks everybody, especially monty.

Great directions, found those places no problem. Hopefully will just be able to pay by 7 Eleven now, but as someone points out, direct debit is a lot easier. Don't have a Thai bank, though, which ones would you recomend I open an account at?

Thanks,

Konangrit

mmm...

so i assume you paid by now

and can enjoy your music and TV

next time pay it fast

before you get thrown into farang jail

:D:o:D

If you dont like long queues use Siam Commercial just before Walking Street. I also have an account with Thai Farmers but tend to avoid it given the choice as the queues are bad.
