Simple Photo Cropping Software ?

Featured Replies

Anybody know of user friendly software for quick cropping of photos ?

All the software I have seen is really photo editing, I just want photo cropping on its own without all the fancy stuff :o

Try Picasa from Google, very user friendly and also free :o

If very basic cropping and small edits is what you want then just use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. If you have MS Office that is. It is super easy to crop a pic

I'll second that. For user's looking for a quick rotate and crop feature, it's hard to beat.

Picasa - Hands Down.

Great for storage - great for editing - with a super simple crop feature.

My favourite is Thumbs Plus. Available here. I have used Thumbs Plus for years - it is also great is you want to batch process or make web pages. PM me if you need the registered version.

Been using Irfan View for a long time now for quick photo work when Photoshop is overkill.

If you own a Canon DSLR it somes with five software packages. Simple and fast to edit.

You don't mention whether you will also be re-sizeing. Merely cropping an image is one thing; retaining the quality after re-sizing is another.

I assume by posting in this forum that you'll be sending images over the 'net. As such, re-sizeing DOWN will be an issue.

Re-sizeing jpeg files WITHOUT using proprietary software will degrade the quality.

It's only the cropping of photos that I need a quick and easy tool for :o
