Mobile Phone And Sim Lost.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Mobile phone and sim lost.

Is it possible when buying a new simcard to ask

the phone company there to keep your original number?

A friend has told me that she has done this with 1-2 call.

I dont know the full details of how this is done.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

thanks

Got the whatever service provider it was offices and tell them that you have lost the sim and need a replacement..soemtimes they need you to have pre registered it with them but if your lucky they will do it anyway

AIS one2call can give you a new simcard after you lose it.

You'll have to go to an AIS main office, maybe the Telewz shops can do it as well.

They will ask some questions such as when and how much did you last top up your credit with, and the last few numbers you dialled, just to prove that you are the real owner of the simcard. Bring along your passport as well, or ID from wife/girlfriend...

DTAC in this area is way better than AIS. You can register your DTAC / Happy number / SIM online and you can actually pull up a load of your called and perhaps received numbers. It does not tell you who they are of course but you can certainly get a new SIM card with your remaining balance on it from the DTAC shops for a couple of hundred baht. Done it myself in Pattaya.

I had my phone removed from me by a lady of the night i reported it to Lumpini finest and they give me a report saying it was stolen,I then went to Ditac office in BKK and they gave me a new sim card with my number for free
