Motorbike Gang

Featured Replies

In the past I have seen a couple of guys riding around in leather jackets with a patch on the back with the name "Sunriders Motorcycle Club" I was interested how anybody could actually wear a leather jacket in Thailand. The guys I saw were riding small 125 cc bikes so it seemed all a little bit strange. :D

Last night while enjoying a "khow moo dang" by the roadside I saw a young man who again was wearing a leather jacket with this patch. His however was adorned with the word "prospect". He also thundered off into the night on a Yamaha 125 cc.

Who are these "Sunriders" and what does this new man have to do to gain entry to this club? How long does he have to be a "prospect" and wear his jacket informing the world about it?

Can anybody please enlighten me about this :o

"prospect" rank is usually associated with big bike clubs. Basicaly, you have to prove your alegiance to club before becoming full pledged member.

However, it is bit unusual to be a "prospect" in club whose members ride 100-200cc bikes.

What kind of bike you ride?

I think I saw the same fella (long gangley blond guy ??) in Patong the other night..

Riding a yamaha nuovo with his harley style helmet and his new leather vest with 'prospect' on it.. It was all I could do not to cry with laughter..

Well yes, this is the guy. I also had to bite my tongue to stop smiling when I saw him. He was sitting on the next table to me with a shiny new leather vest on.

I wonder what he must do to gain full colours? I have seen a much older guy who has the full kit also but sadly he also lacks a bike of substance.

I have a 125 cc Honda wave so maybe I am a prospect for this club. How many "Sunriders are there? Its hardly a name to inspire I feel. "Satans Sunriders", "Hells Sunriders" or even "Sunwarriors" would be better. Something that instills a bit of terror is good but it's hard to cultivate a hard man image while riding a scooter.

This guy was at least 50kgs light of resembling a true biker, he was far to clean and had no facial hair to speak of. For all the bikies out there remember, it's now November so only 2 more showers left til Christmas. :o

Just googled it. They just appear to be a bunch of old men who meet up, get drunk, and probably talk a load of rubbish with a motorbike and lady theme. Fairly harmless I presume. Mind you their moto 'SOME LOVE US SOME HATE US EVERYBODY RESPECT US' may need a little work.

The original sun riders seem to do a lot of charity work for children. This may be an eventual aim of this group once they manage to leave the bars. Maybe the prospect will stay a prospect until he can afford a bigger bike

Was there a "MY OTHER BIKE'S A HARLEY" sticker on it :-)

Lucky for you the Jets & Shark gangs weren't around. You might have been injured when they started to rumble. Snapping fingers, carefree kicks, and flying brylcremed hair.

He just got out of the SAS. Laugh at your own peril! :o

If my memory is deceiving me I think it was even a hot neon pink ?!?!

Just googled them.. The 'president for life' is an OK guy who does a good buffet spread for birthdays etc..

Are they the same group of bikers that organises the 3 Nation Charity Rides? Or the Phuket Bike Week?

Would love to join them if they do.

With a name like vicious kitty you sound like ideal material :o !!

Well I saw another guy or it could have been the same fellow wearing shorts and a T-shirt still with his vest on at the beach!! This must be part of his training to wear this vest until skin grows over it, then he can join the gang.

At least he had a bigger bike. I saw some real biker types in Patong this week, very fat and greasy, unwashed and wearing leather on a 35 degree day. How do they manage to stay so fat wearing what is basically a sweatsuite?

i heard its just a bunch of guys who drink at the same bar and decided to get leather jackets. they dress like bikers to earn money for charity. i dont think they are gay but their bikes are definitely of the slow "i'm thinking of retiring unless a bus hits me" type, rather than the " i drive dead fast and scare children and sometimes fall off" type.

the bloke on the honda wave 125 has the best ride and is the head honcho.

wow, that is very mean of you.....

I've seen these guys around and it's nothing the way you described. They aren't hardcore or bad boys though but they bother nobody, in fact they did some charity works in the past. At least they put an effort to organize themselves way before any other club on the island.

U guys are no fun......

For the record, Team 27 in Singapore is part of the organising committee for 3NCR.

Various smaller groups of just groups of riders will piggyback on team27 on the 3NCR events.

Team 27 is the go to people regards to handling accidents be it fatal or not or information about any Singaporean bikers fatality in Malaysia and Thailand.

They are also the 1st to disseminate information to the rest of the Singapore Bike Groups in the events of Singapore Bikers death and serious accidents in Malaysia and Thailand.

they are the bearer of bad news, but news we need to know of our fella bikers.
