Dehunidifiers

Featured Replies

last year we had quite the mold and mildew problem. there is more rain this year so i want to prepare. i am using lamps in the closets while i am home to give some heat to them but i am looking for some advice as to where to find a dehumidifier which would suck water out of the air in a closed room. i feel if i continue with the lamp i might end up with my own dehumidiFIRE...hehe... i have seen a product on the interenet that is a dehumidifier, A/C and heater all in one and is portable room to room sounds like the ticket but trying to find one in thailand or one that can be shipped here is another story. even an electric blanket with the correct eletric for thailand would be grand. we are currently uses the dehumifier crystals that you buy in tesco but they are not enough. thanks in advance

Dehumidifiers are not popular here because a small air conditioner does the same thing with the added benefit of cooling the air. Many people make the mistake of buying a unit that is too big and one that is too big does a poor job of removing moisture from the air. A much smaller unit will keep the area dry and comfortable.

Not sure if you can buy them in Thailand but there used be a thing availabe that had a basket of cyrstal above a small tub, the crystals absorbeed water then you empty put the water. The crystals did last forever. One brand was called a Closet Camel.
