T.o.t. Service

Featured Replies

As I am a very unhappy T.O.T. ADSL user and have complained many times on this forum, I must repent and share today's experience.

My adsl went down and came back after about 10 minutes. When I attempted to connect to any website I got a screen stating something to the effect that username and password were invalid, from T.O.T. Portal. It said if you have any questions dial 1100. I did and I got through on the second try; first surprise.

Surprise 2; it said dial 9 for English. I was connected with a very polite and very articulate english speaking guy. He had me check my modem configuration and I was of course already on the defensive as I knew I had changed nothing.

When I gave him my *****@goldcyber username he asked when I had updated to Goldcyber (2mbs). I told him I had changed 2 months ago from the 1mps plan but it didn't make much difference. He told me to reboot and try again. I was able to connect to the internet and it was fast.

I asked him if for the last two months I really didn't have the 2mps package as my internet had been slow. He refused to commit on that, but told me to please connect to a speedtest site and run a test. "If you are not connecting at 80% of the 2mps, please call me back and I will have a Chiang Mai technician check you connection". I tested at 1780mps, (not overseas of course).

I am astounded! I will ignore the fact that I was probably not getting the 2mps the last 2 months, even though the Goldcyber password worked. This guy was polite, even though I was not particularly so until after hearing what he had to say. He was articulate and even asked to help further if I had a problem. I did thank him and compliment him on his service.

I need a drink!! :o
