Iphone Carriers

Featured Replies

This topic has come up before. But I was wondering if true and happy sims will work for a Unlocked iPhone 2G. I am not really concerned with a data plan, but it would be nice. If True and Happy sims dont work what other options do I have? I will only be in Thailand for 2 weeks! I lived in Bangkok for one year and it was the best year of my life. That was about two years ago. Is Pantip Plaza still like it was? Do people buy the iPhone 2G? If so what can you get for them?

while we're at it, where one can buy the new 3G iPhone in BKK? one that can work in Thailand, as well as in UK where I plan to use with my 02 sim card, which incidentally is the Apple's authorised carrier for UK

@shoreline: Yes, any SIM will work. Both AIS and DTAC have stalls at the airport (base level), so when you arrive pop into one of those and get a prepaid sim. Both also offer prepaid data plans for cheap, which are great. For example, I have a 20h/month package for 100BHT. It just gets the cost off of your existing balance every month. Very simple, very good :o

3G iPhone is widely available in Thailand, they'll have it in any IT mall. Fortune towers in BKK for example. It's unlocked but was heinously expensive... last time I checked I was quoted 30,000 BHT for the high end version (16GB white). If you pass by Hong Kong you get get it for the normal price unlocked direct from Apple.
