Most likely they mean MAC address.

You can get both MAC and IP addresses* by [sTART] >Programs > Accessories >Command Prompt and type:

ipconfig /all

Your main connection will usually be the one called Local Area Connection, but if you are using wireless you might see Wireless Network Connection instead/as wells as LAN.

MAC address = Physical Address, **-**-**-**-**-**

IP Address = IPv4 Address, ###.###.###.###

Which one? Well what do you need it for/who asked you for it?

(* Assuming PC user, mac users are beyond help.)
