Visa Extension

Featured Replies

im visiting thailand in a couple weeks time and im thinking i may like to stay a week or two longer than i planned. im just wondering if i might be able to get my initial 30 days visa allowance extended by a bit more than the usual 7 days, possibly 10 to 14 days would be ideal for me! any info ar advice on this subject would be much appreciated

regards robbie

A seven day extension is all you will get.

You might consider a border run and get an additional 30 days. You could do this at any time during your 30 day permit to stay.

Or get a 60 day tourist visa before you leave for your trip at a Thai embassy/consulate. Tell us what country you are from and we might be able to help even more on this subject.

Yes. 7 days is the limit. Do a Visa Run or get a Visa before you come.

If you do not have an onward flight ticket out of Thailand within 30days the airline might not even let you on the flight.

Yes. 7 days is the limit.

Get a tourist visa from nearest consulate that will give 60 days (can be extended for another 30 days)

With this one there is no need to show outbound ticket from Thailand within 30 days.
