Whats The Better Option To Get A Taxi From

Featured Replies

i am going to buy a 20inch computer monitor. i live on sukhumwit road in the thong lo area.

should i go to pantip plaze or fortune IT mall? which will be easier to get a taxi and get back home? i think the box will be too big to drag onto the MRT correct? Would I even be allowed to? Thanks.

On PanThip I always have problems getting Taxi, but finally always got one.

MRT: don't know but BTS I never had problems with large things, they always opened a way on the side for me.

I just bought a 22 inch Dell flatscreen yesterday. The box it came in was not that big. Below is a photo of it. Note the ruler I placed on the lower left hand side to illustrate the size. If you're going to Thong Lor from Pantip I would suggest carrying it across the overpass (saphan lawy) toward the Pratunam market side of Petchburi Road and catch a cab from there. I don't know exactly how far down on Thong Lor you live but it would probably be best to just go straight down Petchburi and take a right onto Soi Tong Lor (Sukhumvit 55) from there. The box will easily fit in the back seat (if it's the same size as mine).

Sorry, I just re-read your original post and see that you live on Sukhumvit near Thong Lor not down Thong Lor as I had originally thought. So forget about crossing Petchburi road and instead catch a cab directly in front of Pantip and get out at the corner by the Ratchatewi BTS station and take the BTS to Thong Lor. Go around noon to avoid the big rush hour crowds.
