Android G1 Htc Phone In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the HTC G1 Android phone here in Thailand as an import?

The phone can be bought on Ebay, unlocked and shipped worldwide and therefore used anywhere, with any carrier. However it is likely to be stopped at customs for import tax if sent by courier from the US. It is also possible to get reduction/rebate if buying in US on Ebay if you have a US PayPal account, bringing the phone down to around 12,000 Baht. Likely cost otherwise is around 15-20,000 Baht.

Does anyone know of any local Thailand / Bangkok seller/s?

Many thanks for any ideas. :o

Have you checked MBK? They tend to have all the latest. Sometimes cheaper, sometimes pricey as <censored>.

Thanks, I'll have a look, they will for sure have some info. I heard there will be more models such as Asus and Motorola with Android early next year so best to wait perhaps.
