Need some advice on what option are available for obtaining a fixed IP in Bangkok.

Currently have a standard True connection and they have offered an upgrade to their BIZ Pack Lite at 25,000 THB for a 2m/512 connection. Is this really the price for obtaining a fixed IP?

I did a quick search and saw some references to prices of about 5-10K. Could anyone provide any recommendations?

Are you sure you really need a static IP? Wouldn't a dynamic DNS service be much more economical for you? These companies even provide this service for free:

www.no-ip.com

www.dyndns.com

Ok, no problem. I just thought that if it was for a VPN or web hosting etc dynamic DNS might be the better option.

It would have been my preference but I'm under orders from our corporate HQ and I know better than to question their needs.
