grimmbro
Wife just called to say that she is stuck in a cab going into Suvarnabhumi but that protestors have strung razor wire across the road. I take it they are there to greet the returning PM. However I can find no word of this on newspaper sites or on the airport site. Anyone else have more info? dave9988
PAD doesnt have that much power closing the airport one day probably would cost thailand billions and billions of baht
grimmbro
Latest briefing is that the protest is directed towards taxi drivers. Some great PAD leader decided to strike a blow against Thaksin supporting drivers at the airport.

Tingnongnoi
picked someone up from there about 2 and they were starting to prepare checkpoints to stop them getting in, on way back traffic already backed up and on rama 9 expressway large amounts of trucks carrying PAD supporters heading that way. yosithezet
Yikes, sounds pretty serious. Where did you get the news about Thaksin coming back? I think they meant Somchai, the current PM, who will be returning from the APEC meeting in Peru.
CRUNCHER
As if the Thai economy isn’t suffering enough from the world recession, the PAD morons are trying to destroy it completely. Just look at CNN, BBC Bloomberg etc for all the pad press. No wonder tourists are staying away in huge numbers. Who would invest in Thailand with all this going on? Soon people will start wondering if it wouldn’t be better to have Thaksin back, corrupt criminal though he is. For whatever reason Thailand was booming when he was in power and that fact will not be lost on many. They are playing into his hands. Thaksin back – no way!! Err let me think about that!!!
