Ubc Epg On Media Center

Hi

Has anybody successfully connected a UBC box either by video capture card or maybe using a DVB-S pci card to a vista HTPC?

i wondering if there epg signal is better now they have started selling there own PVR box?

I have connected via an analogue capture card. I've got MCE2005 running well and I've just got vista installed so I'll be playing with that soon.

As you probably know, there is no official EPG so you have to harvest it from truevisions website. I use a combination of tvxb and bladerunner to do this, although I had to write my own country ini file as the one on the website is out of date and points to UBC. This setup works perfectly.

With truevisions there is only the title and timing. I also wrote one harvesting from starhub and also hboasia. This brought back all the programme info and losts of detail but it would get messed up and eventually after a week or two would start to have some wrong programme data. Hence my move to vista and also will also change to epgstream rather than bladerunner.

I can get 99% of everything working (season link etc), the only thing I can't figure out is a movie flag on movies. This will then activate the Movie plugin in My TV.

Sorry to revive a dead topic.

Guys my TVXB Harvest of UBC don't work anymore because they seemed to have changed to a flash player schedual from HTML. Any ideas where I can get my EPG from?

I have been using the above solution for two years and it has worked great but now is stuffed.
