I have just renewed my work permit as have moved business to a new province. I have owned (by vote share agreement) a Thai Limited company for a few years. Along with the normal docs I was asked to provide.

A work Contract (From me to me to tell myself that I am employed for a year)

A letter confirming employment (From me to me to tell myself I have a job)

Proof of University Qualification (From me to me to prove to myself that I am qualified to do the job for which I am already doing)

All easy to produce. But come on department of labour!!!...Time to start thinking outside the box a little!

You got it wrong. those documents are not from you to you. They are from one person (your company, which is a juristic person) to another person (you, who are a natural person)

I had to create both of these last year for WP to be issued, knocked up a few pages of stuff and supplied copies of real certificates, was later told I had supplied far more than was required but it's OK.

You have to go with the flow on these matters.

How else can these official justify their jobs, without new rules to enforce.

This is like my question a while back as to whether I had to report my arrival at my house,

as I am the juristic person for the company that owns my house.

Usually when you are renewing a WP for one year they just want the company to sign a form confirming contract. You were probably asked for the contract because you moved to another province.

I think you have to at the juristic/natural person divide another way. Think yourself lucky that Thai government depts accept your juristic person signature to confirm something to do with your natural person. If they decide to stop doing this, you will have to get another authorized director to sign everything for you.
