Is A.s.t.v A P.a.d. Channel?

Featured Replies

The only Thai channel that I can get to feed here in the UK at the moment via siamtv.org is ASTV (500k connection on the boat), but it seems only ever to be broadcasting speeches from the PAD protests at Swampy, nothing else.

Is it PAD funded?

(PS: sorry about the title - tried to get ASTV and PAD capitalized by inserting '.'s, didn't work. Will try spaces next time. :o )

ASTV is 100 % PAD

Most other channels are 100 % Government controlled.

www.thailandoutlook.tv is owned by Sondhi as well, but they really try to bring the news as they are and often anti-pad as well.

I think it is impossible to get unbiased news at the moment.

ASTV is 100% anti-government channel run by Sondhi Limthongkul who is now flat broke and has at least 200 year jail time waiting. They mainly scream.

Many Thais have watched them since 2006 and now believe in what they say.

Can you watch NBT or PTV in SiamTV?

Try www.mvtv.co.th.

Some channels don't run whole day like ASTV.

Is it PAD funded?

Yes. Try here for other channels, but bear in mind regular news often doesn't present the 'whole picture.'

Try www.mvtv.co.th...

They have two language choices: English or Thai. So I went to the news page and clicked "English" and beneath every news item was:

"Sorry this content is not available in your selected language."

I was looking to see the announcement of the SoE, see the look and demeanour of the PM - it'll turn upon youtube no doubt :o

I did get some feed from MVTV - thanks Koo82, but like JSBKK even with the Thai selected nothing - maybe they (news channels) are ofline at the moment though.

MKAsok - WWITV seems okay, got some feed in Chrome, but that's a basket case with crashing at the moment and my IE setup isn't good for media (working on a laptop while my main gear in in storage).

Still, I'll keep looking, especially during Thai 'office hours', thanks both.

i have satelite TV and about 120 channel so i watch all kinda news all over the world .

ASTV is a classic example if you put a branch of people restrict them from outside news and feed them enough rubbish , there will follow .

everyday i jump onto the channel when i try to change across channel all i get is them .. saying how bad the people there dislike is .

what a channel . - almost like zombie channel - how sad also to watch people openly brainwash in mass whhaha

oh yeh H90 is a PAD supportor he would say anything that PAD is good .
