12DrinkMore
http://www.markstechnologynews.com/2008/11...t-electric.html Must be an interesting experience, silently accelerating up to 200 kms/hr.... Although at that speed the wind noise is normally much louder than motor, at least to the rider. Doubtless there will be a big aftermarket in an electric powered exhaust. Wouldn't it be great to be able to change the "sound" just using a console. How about the following choices: 1. big twin 2. in-line four 3. single two stroker 4. inline twin 5. Ducati 6. Triumph triple 7. Devil's laugh 8. Nokia Ring Tone 9. Scream of anguish 10. Programmable phrase Edited November 28, 2008 by 12DrinkMore
CroBiker
Not sure why they say it is "Wolrd's First Electric Bike"? VECTRIX has been around for a year now....
BSJ
20 thousand quid is a lot of dosh for a bike. An IC engined bike of 600cc can be had for less than half that and the difference will pay for gasoline and spares for 6, 7, 8 or 9 years! For electric bike you'll have to factor in the battery replacements too. All in all, if they costed the electrics for a better retail price they would sell heaps of em! The VECTRIX looks cool, ay!
