Featured Replies

been offered kl as an alternative to bkk from london by etihad while this protest is in place at swampy.

is there a bus service running that will take me to phuket from kl and if so what is the name of the bus station and frequency of service , also how long is the journey , direct or multiple stops/change busses etc.

cheers

You can get a flight to Phuket, or a bus to Hat yai then change to Bangkok, or, as I am doing, a Train from KL to Butterworth then direct to BKK.

The train is great - you get a sleeper and some awesome views and less chance of road carnage.

On the bad side, the food is appalling, so BYO or buy off the vendors who swarm the train every few hours.

If not sold out, I'd definitely recommend the train.

regards

and best of luck

From KL you might be able to go by air to U-tapao, 140 km. from BKK.
