fishhooks
All the TV & Radio news services in Australia are reporting that both main BKK Airports are closed (Sunday, all day) Looking at the Arrivals & Departures linked from here on T.V. seems to indicate that "most" Arrivals and Departures are operating normally? garyh
Take a look at a few of the airline web sites, just looked on Royal Brunie before no flights to Bangkok until further notice.
fishhooks
Thanks, still confusing though. Now near midday here in Australia and the linked sites on this forum are still showing many more arrivals and departures than cancellations
britmaveric
No flights in/out of Swampy for least 4days.
garyh
What is so confusing? The 2 airports in Bangkok are CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Some are getting out from the military airport but in limited numbers. If you are looking at a web site that says all flights are normal take it up with them as they are wrong! davee58
Thanks, still confusing though. ..... the linked sites on this forum are still showing many more arrivals and departures than cancellations Yes I noticed that yesterday. Maybe the Arrival / Departure flights status is not updated any more... Edited December 1, 2008 by davee58
samuibeachcomber
maybe the airlines are just showing their normal schedule(which will resume when this is all over)they still want your business and phone call.If they put up a sign saying no flights till further notice they would n't get your enquiry. fishhooks
Thanks for pointing that out 'davee58' garyh: The site referred to is linked directly off here, Thaivisa. http://www.thaivisa.com/bkk-departures.html http://www.thaivisa.com/bkk-arrivals.html It is date and time related and "appears" to be indicating as it normally would, thus showing 'current' flight status etc etc. Thus in the present situation is quite wrong, but with many people searching for info, some now in quite serious situations, I thought was worth raising. Try, like most of us here to post in a way that either asks for genuine advice, or alternatively give advice when one is in the position of being able to help others. Sitting at the computer waiting to have a 'cheap shot' at another member and in capitol letters is not the way the vast majority here conduct ourselves.
