December 15, 200421 yr Hello DaiMai, Send a email to [email protected] and [email protected] They have some good tips, I also found a website with some tips http://adsl.yoll.net but this website seems to be blocked in Thailand. Guess they not like ADSL connection information in Thailand.
December 15, 200421 yr Sign up with True instead, I have True hi-speed and router Billion 7100. The best hi-speed connection in Thailand so far! Good luck!

I think the site has been deleted Sign up with True instead, I have True hi-speed and router Billion 7100.The best hi-speed connection in Thailand so far! Good luck! True is not available in my area. So still stck with an adsl carrier, but cannot connect. Good old TOT.
December 17, 200421 yr Author They have some good tips, I also found a website with some tips http://adsl.yoll.net but this website seems to be blocked in Thailand. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The web site is up again now and I must agree that the inof is excellent for anyone configuring an adsl line in Thailand. I think I have found the reason for my problems. After 3 days of calls I am told that adsl in the whole 038 area is down as the server is down. Has been down all week!! No wonder I could not connect. I big thank you to TOT for taking 3 days to tell me!! FYI The call centre for TOT is 1100. Despite the Press 9 for English, be prepared to speak a little Thai, however the tech staff do speak English.
December 17, 200421 yr i don't think the area is down, its more like the whole system is down. i can't connect for week

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DaiMai, Are you using the wireless function of your D-Link DSL-G604T? I'm curious how it works for you. I'm not impressed with the tranfer rates I'm getting. If I set my laptop right next to the G604T, I still only get a 95% signal strength. If it is in the next room, it is about 75%. I never get better than 11 mbps transfer rates, even though is says it is connected at 54 mbps. This is without security enabled. Wondering if there is a problem. Thks.
December 21, 200421 yr I'd recommend TRUE. When I signed up, I got a free number, free modem, and great service. Like all services in Thailand, there may be errors. They have a hotline that's very helpful and ususally gets anything within their power done immediately.

December 21, 200421 yr Let's see.... first post, a glowing endorsement for a particular company that reads like a radio ad... work for them?cv <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By golly, I do sound like an ad! No, I don't work for them, but I've been using TA for about 2 years now. I started out with dial-up INet, then jumped on the ADSL bandwagon early on. I used their support service so much they must know my name... (or at least username). Nothing worked in the beginning, but I do admire their persistance.
December 21, 200421 yr TRUE is not available in Chonburi, sad to say. I may end up getting a TT&T line instead of TOT.... What a load of W######rs. Have not tried the Wireless side, but will post when I do.
December 29, 200421 yr Author I can now confirm that these parameters ARE correct for TOT adsl VPI 1 VCI 32 PPPoE LLC logon <your phone number>@supercyber password <your phone number> I am told that PPPoA VC-Mux will also work but the PPPoE setting is better. All my problems were due to TOT, and it has taken 2 WEEKS to get it sorted out. TOT does not have an SMTP gateway for sending mail!!!!
December 30, 200421 yr My TOT ADSL seems rather speedy today. Wonder if they added some capacity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think TOT just changed their share rate from 1-50 to 1-20 in the last couple of days as my TOT ADSL has jumped in speed from a slow 50 kbps back to its original 400 kbps.
December 30, 200421 yr I am only on the slowest 256K, but on large files I am getting the whole of the 256!!
