So they should be!

This situation is beyond a joke now!!!

So they should be!

There is some really good news in that survey. Both sides stink to high heaven.

58.4 per cent said they will not take sides in politics.

Yes, when I speak to ordinary Thais they just say 'Na beua'. I think they are plain sick of the situation and are increasingly aware of the financial impact. Trouble is they let PAD (and whoever) get away with murder.

That of course is how "extremists" gain traction. When the public abdicates its responsiblity in a democracy and instead lets personality cults define the agenda.

Ah .. another ABAC poll :o

but more embarrassing is that the title of the thread couldn't even get the numbers right!

65.1% said they would have less pride in the country IF THE SITUATION TURNS VIOLENT (seems like at least that many people on T.V. want violence!)

But in reference to the Poll and the title 76.5% felt Very Embarrassed about the political turbulence and the impression foreigners were getting from it!

Did you miss that , 76.4% feel embarassed at THE NEGATIVE ATTITUDE of foreigners , what may i ask are they supposed to feel about having their holidays destroyed in a way , by not being able to return home ? lots of gratitude for coming and spending lots of $$$ to improve their life style and they feel embarassed about there negative attitude .That is most likely in line with not wanting them here in the first place , and destroying their beautifull culture with their warped minds .

I'll live with it as it's not as embarrassing as missing the fundamental point my friend.

I guess they are massively proud of what is happening then :o

That's the link.

Ashamed !!!

I"M NOT SURPRISED.

People in Phuket are getting more angry than ashamed. The tourist industry is taking a real hit, it's hurting people already. They view the PAD actions as selfish, they've gone too far.

That's great that so many people feel embarrassed that the criminal government in power has yet to resign.

The poll doesn't ask if they're embarrassed in what way, by the government, the protesters, or just that there is political turbulence, and hence is basically worthless.
