Desert Island Discs...........

There are too many gloomy posts at the moment - resulting, of course, from recent tragic and troublesome events we are currently seeing and reading about........... so I thought I´d try to instigate a lighter-hearted topic...................

The older ones amongst you (well, the Brits at least....) may remember a radio programme, where listeners were invited to name 3 records, which they would want to take with them to a desert island. Which item or items would TV members take with them from Thailand to make their stay on the island more pleasant .......or whatever?????

For example, a parking attendant´s whistle, to catch the attention of passing ships....

Further suggestions?????????

BTW it's 8 records, you get to pick one in the end. They give you the Bible, the complete works of Shakespere another book of your choice and a luxury item. The luxury item can have no real practical use. So maybe they wouldn't give me a tuk-tuk?

I never fancied a desert island - so I chose a tropical island instead - and I have all that I need (which is as little as possible)..........

and if things get me down I play Bach's "Magnificat",,,,,,,Very Loudly
