What Visa If Have Dependants

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I need help please, I have twin girls that I support and are my dependents, I take care of them and they live with me and my girlfriend, thier mother. I am on a tourist visa at the moment and would like to know if I could qualify for differant visa that would not require me to leave the country so often.

Your kind help will be appreciated.

Hi, yes I am the father, I am from South Africa but hold dual nationality with U.K. I have an internet business wich is not a Thai registered company. So according to Thais and my visa I don't work but get an income from my house that I rent out in SA .

Sorry, I am 38 years old

Sorry but you do not really qualify for annual extensions. The best you could do would be a Multi Entry Non O Visa which would mean you would have to do a border run every 90 days. You could definitely get this from the UK and possibly from Penang or KL.

If you were married you could get an annual extension based on that if you have a monthly income of 40,000 Baht a month. Hopefully someone may be able to come up with another idea to help.

This is the Police Order that deals with all extensions of stay.

Does your children go to school?

If so they can get a ED-visa and you'll be able to get non-o as dependent of your children.

At what age is this available ? Do they have to go to proper school or kindergarten ? I'm a similar age with a 16 month or daughter and have the same visa issues. Either back to the UK each year (15 months) for a new business visa or getting regional tourist visas.

I would like to think I could be dependent on my daughter but there must be some rules ?

I would have thought it has to be a proper school.

Here is the ruling anyway. 7.7 , 7.8 , 7.10.
