Router And Emule

Featured Replies

My old router wireless Surecom EP-9410SX-G is death so my technician sold me a new Zyxel P-6600hw. Work fine, internet is fast, the wireless is enough powerful to cover a wide area.

The problems start when I connect Emule (with the old Surecom works fine with some 3/4 laptop connected down my restaurant, my computer downloading from emule at full power, 100/150 kbyte/sec).

I must downgrade the emule setting, limit upload before 70, now 40; max connection before 400, now 80 and most of all, i cannot use KAD, otherwise no more internet navigation, sometime slow, most of time nothing.

My connection is CAT 2048/800.

A friend of mine says the problem is the memory of the new Zyxel not enough.

Is it a modem-router problem only? Low memory? Or some setting I miss?

did you disable qos, firewall options and all restrictives settings? if not you should do it as so much connection will certainly result in an overload of the routeur cpu and resulting in a "lockup".

i have been using zyxel adsl routeur p660-R61, the compact one and it never showed any trouble to manage p2p.
