December 4, 200817 yr Just after the airport debacle started my mother phoned to say that she was sending a couple of parcels of Christmas presents for my kids. As there was no doubt as issue getting parcels into Thailand and a building backlog I told her to hold off until things cleared up. Now that the airports are open again I was wondering if anyone has heard that things at the post office have caught up yet (which I doubt)? If not has anyone heard when the backlog is likely to be cleared? I guess the kids are going to get a few late presents...something to look forward too. Cheers Mick

Cheers Mick i was going to send my sons christmas presents just before the airport was closed.....i am going to wait until late next week to send the package...the post office has been getting some packages in and out of thailand but there is a backlog that may not be cleared up for a week or two.... a friend of mine who runs the post office in Lamphunn told me to wait.. good luck
December 4, 200817 yr my mum sent us a package 1 day before the 'troubles' and it still hasn't arrived, the probability is that it's sitting in Singapore waiting for the backlog to clear and from estimates already given this may take up to 2 weeks, good luck to us all!
