Question Abt Tourist Visa from Laos

Featured Replies

Im about to finish my contract here in LOS, my non-B will expire on January 3th.

As I dont want to return to Europe straight away (way to cold over there), I wud like to apply for a tourist visa in Vientiane, which according to my humble knowledge is valid for 60 days. I further understand that I may add another 30 days at any immigration office in Thailand (1.900 THB) after the 60 days period is up.

My question is about the outbound air ticket which is to be shown when applying for the 60 days visa in Laos:

On which day shud my flight back home shud take place ? Shud it be on the day the 60 days visa expires or may I silently add another 30 days for which I get a stamp inside the country ?

Thanks for any help.

They are not asking for proof of return tickets (at the moment). I am travelling up tomorrow to get a double entry valid for 6 months, and don't have any onward ticket.

No ticket needed.

Remember that the day your employment ends and your empoyer notifies the labour departmennt that you are no longer working your permit to stay will end if you are on an extension of stay.

To help you with your trip to Vientiane have a look at this 29 page topic. The last few pages have a lot of usefull information. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Vientiane-La...sa-t158561.html

Confirm -they are not interested in seeing any onward travel arrangements even for a double-entry visa (up to now).
