On Thursday Evening, Police Lieutenant Chamnan from Laem Chabang Police Station was called to a rented room at the Poonpon Mansions in Tung Sookra sub-district following reports of a suspected suicide at the location.

Police arrived and inspected the body of Khun Somcheun aged 44. He had apparently hung himself from a pipe located in the toilet.

The deceased worked as an engineer at a local factory and was known to have borrowed a considerable amount of money and had complained to friends that he was unable to pay the money back.

A suicide note addressed to his family was found in the room and stated that he loved his family very much and was sorry for taking his own life, but he saw no other way out of his financial problems.
