I am from Mauritius. I came here with a tourist visa. I then went to Hanoi, Vietnam to obtain my Visa B to apply for my work permit. But my company did not do anything. I was then sent to Penang, Malaysia to obtain my second Visa B which I got. This visa is valid until the 3rd of February 2009.

Last week, I lost my job. What are my solutions? I am looking for a new job but if I don't get it before my visa expires, what should I do to stay in Thailand. What are my solutions?

Can I go out and come back with a tourist visa? If yes for how much time? What documents I should have? Where should I go to obtain it?

Can I get married??????

You can get a double entry tourist visa from Vientiene Laos. With extensions this would give you you 6 months.

Can you get Married? You can if you have a girlfriend. This would give you more options.

Also, with 2 Visa B can I really have a double entry tourist visa? Coz imagine i go there and don't get it..... BIG PROBLEM....

A tourist visa costs 1000 baht per entry You will only need a copy of your passport photo page and 2 photos for visa.

I would normally say that it is not a problem to get your visa but there have been reports that they are only giving transit visas for citizens of some countries in Vientiane. But since you are from Mauritius which gets a visa on arrival you should not have a problem but I would contact the conuslate to be sure.

Link to Vientiane website follows with contact info plus you can download the application form there also. You will find info about the visa requirements but none are ask for (IE: tickets and money).

For info on visa run to Vientiane see the last few pages of this topic for some very usefull information. One of those is don't plan your trip to apply for a visa on a Monday it is very busy. Also it is best to spend the night before applying in Vientiane so that you can get there early in the morning.
