Hi,

I'm looking to buy a thai bed, in Teak wood with some nice hand carved lotus flowers/peakock bird or other design (nuptial...)

I was in Thailand for 3 weeks, wasn't impressed by what I saw, I often found the quality of the carving to be low quality.

I'n back home and and am spending hours and hours browing google to find my bed but I'm very unlucky so far.

could anyone suggest a thai site with photos? or an email contact. I have a container that will leave Thailand end of January so I'm in a bit of a rush.

A couple of good places in Den Chai, but they might not have www sites.

Google Thailand teak furniture. Should have some results.

I also bought one bed for about 20 000 Bath.But it is not old teak.There are not many old teak trees left in Thailand.Mostly from plantations of golden teaktrees.Sometimes old teak houses are dismanteled and the wood used sometimes for making beds but mainly to make doors and window frames.

Sure, Pracha Rat Sai 1 Soi 24 in the Bang Sue area of Bangkok. It is a 2 km soi where they build and sell all kinds of teak furnitures. Well worth a visit and they can custom build ANYTHING you want.

I usually use the first large shop on the left hand side, ask for Suvat.
