The only visa I know that lets you stay in Thailand for a whole year without interruption is the non-OA visa, by some consulates called the long-stay visa and sometimes also referred to as the retirement visa. You have to be at least 50 years old to qualify, must apply for it at a Thai consulate in your home country, and meet certain requirements which the consulate will explain to you.

Your age would help because if over 50 you could get a retirement extension.

Would you mind going to school and learning Thai. If you don't mind spending 4 hours a week in class that is an option that would get you either 90 day or 1 year extensions.

If you have 1.5 million baht you could get a Thai Elite card that would get you a five year visa. Plus other perks that go with the card.
