Just sorting a few things out back home in England and went to check that a friend was getting the best landline rate when calling me here (they were paying 2P a minute to my mobile with Savacall). I came across this useful rate checker which may save you some pennies as it seems that there are several companies with rates of half that.

Also, if you're faced with dialling an irritating premium rate number which costs more even on Skype, you can often find a regular alternative here.

Tips for Cheap Charlies......Dont use the phone then...

I use the unlimited calls to landlines with Skype from the offer they had recently just make sure you have a good enough net connection and your fine. I dont think you can beat the rate they were offering.

If you are really a cheap charlie....just get the people in the UK to ring you.....that costs nothing!
