Laos Double Entry Visa

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am going to Laos next week. I just wanted to have further information on the following:

I am planning to leave next saturday to arrive there on Sunday and be at the Thai Embassy early Monday Morning in order to avoid the long queue. Is this a good idea?

If I apply for a Double Entry Visa on Monday, will I get it on Tuesday? Cost would be 1,000 bath for each, meaning that for a double entry tourist visa I need to pay 2,000 bath in total?

Which hotel can I go there?

What nightlife or attractions are there in Vientian...Will be there, better enjoy....

Is food save there?

Do I need a visa to go to enter Laos?

I am planning to go to the Laos embassy to get the visa in order to avoid paper work at the border?

How to ge to vientian by road?

I heard that to get a double entry tourist visa you need to provide the following documents:

-2 photos

-Passport

-1,ooo bath

-A prof that you are leaving thailand (I am planning to get the train ticket to malaysia)

-do we need to show your bank account statement?

I would really appreciate your helpon the above. If I forgot anything, or if you people have any further good advice please feel free tp share

Regards to all

Monday is not the best day to go as it is usually busy. Go early and you should be ok.

You will be able to pick up on Tuesday PM.

Correct 2,000 Fee. Laos Visa around 1,500 Baht depending on your nationanlity.

No need for ticket or bank statement. Don't forget photo for Laos Visa.

Stacks of info. here. Read the last 2 pages.http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Vientiane-La...sa-t158561.html

Don't forget that the Consulate is now at a new location.http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Thai-Consula...oc-t231879.html

Jerem. Did you contact the Consulate in Vientienne and ask if they will isue with a Tourist Visa?

As a national of Mauritius they may not. Some nationalities can only apply in their own country. You are entitled to a Visa On Arival , so I really do not know.

As LiteBeer pointed out some nationals can not get a Tourist Visa at Thai Embassy.

If you are from Mauritius I would call them to verify.

As far as I remember Nationals from Mauritius can not apply for a Tourist Visa at the Thai Embassy in Laos.
