Listening To Internet Radio In The Car

Featured Replies

Hi

I've been searching around for a device that I'm not sure even exists (mainly Seri Center and Seacon Square).

I'd like to listen to internet radio via my N95 connecting via BlueTooth to a device that I can tune in my car radio to a frequency and listen via the car speakers.

Does anyone know if this device exists for sale in Bangkok? If so, seen one anywhere?

I hope that made sense.

Cheers

Mick

In theory its fine.. But in practice EDGE GPRS connectiosn drop out a lot, and I suspect that only gets worse with cell tower handoffs..

I reckon while you can make this a proof of concept, making it a real world setup, that you actually enjoy using, wont be possible.

Edit forst use the N95 as a net radio as you drive about.. Put the headphone out to an aux in.. See if its in any way acceptable.

I listen to BBC radio 5 every day via AIS12Call while driving around. Hardly any drop out at all. Great reception. I have it playing through the N95 speakers. It's loud enough but a bit 'tinny'. Thought directing it through the car speakers would improve the sound quality. Also, BBC Radio 6 for some decent music through the car speakers would be good too.

Headphone out socket to an FM Modulator seems the easiest solution.

Hmmm, MrAsok, FM Modulator sounds like a plan. Any idea where I can buy one? Not really sure what to ask for "Me FM Modulator Mai?"

^e-bay's your best bet. Plenty on there. Don't recall ever seeing them here, though I'm sure they must be available (you might try "Mo-tu-lay-dter - falling tone on the last syllable). I bought one a couple of years back. Works perfectly off my i-Pod in the car. They've probably improved a lot since them days as well...

Pantip has them for Ipods..

Quite surprised that it connects so solidly..

Yeah, do buy a decent one. The cheap ones can be really crappy, particularly in very built-up areas...

Thanks guys. A trip to Pantip it is then.
