January 23, 200917 yr WE HAVE BEEN IMPORTING THIS PRODUCT FOR 20 YEARS AND SUPPLYING ABOUT 80% OF NEW ZEALAND THAI RESTAURANTS WITH THIS LARGE RANGE OF SHAPES AND STYLES. Recently I was asked a question about the origin of the design, and if thers was a traditional signifigance to it. The range seems to often be a preference in Thai Restaurants world wide.In speaking with many owners I have received a variety of historical information. There was a suggestion that it was introduced about thie reign of KING RAMA 5,but not sure if that is correct. Can anyone supply some informartion about this product. Who was the designer? When was it introduced? Is there a special signifigance? Any other history? Royal Thai Porcelain in Bangkok was a major supplier and I know there are other manufacturers in Lampang. Any items of interest would be appreciated,so I can build my knowledge about the product. THANk YOU
