Plasma Tv

Featured Replies

Hi,

I want to buy a new 42 inch Plasma TV and am trying to decide between the Samsung Series 4 and the Panasonic TH-42PV8MT. Does anyone own either one of these and would like to offer their opinion or opinions in general as to whether one is better than the other?

Both are 29,990 Baht at my local electrical store. There is also an LG one for 25,000 but I'm leaning towards the other x2 at the moment.

Thanks

I've out of the trade for about five years and don't know about the Panasonic but I know both the Samsung and the LG are LCD sets, not Plasma.

Samsung were one of the leaders in LCD technology in the early days and I believe they still are. LG were also at the forefront when I used to visit both companies technical departments. At the time Panasonic seemed to be lagging behind but that was five years ago and things can change.

Personally I bought an LG but I think Samsung is just as good. There was just a better deal on LG,s at the time.

I have a Panasonic 42" Plasma (not sure of the model number) for 3-4 years now and have been quite happy with it. Samsung, LG, Pioneer, Panasonic all have Plasma models in Thailand. SinsiamElectronics

My vote is still for Pioneer, but whatever you end of getting DON'T pay the "official" HomePro/Power Buy prices. You can get it 10-20% cheaper at the mom/pop kind of TV shops. I juse one close to Super Rich next to Big C in from of Central World Center, but I am sure you can find similar shops in your area.

I have a Panasonic 42" Plasma about 1 year old now, it is very good and a lot better then the 42" LG I have in the bedroom
