These are the rules for extensions of stay. You need 2.18 (6)

Tell us how much info you need and what country you are from (helps for the marriage?).

Edit: I would guess you are from the states.

sorry fellows,i just located this for a second time.lite beer thanks for the info.yes ubonjoe i am from the states.i hope to live permately in thailand.your name does that mean you live in ubon.i have good memories of ubon a few years ago 1967 when i was stationed there in the air force .i will visit there again when i return to thailand.thanks fellows.just kind of hard to view all of the many forums ,but i am checking a lot of them out.

Before leaving the states you should get a tourist visa so you won't be rushed to do everything.

When you get ready to register your marriage the US embassy will be your first stop to get the document required.
