Does anyone know where to get or has a copy of the Rosetta Stone Thai work book which goes with the C/D?

Obviously paying 100 baht for a copy of the program at Pantip, you don't get the work book. I have looked for it, but so far no luck.

I can work thru the all the levels by both the listening and the reading feature, but the vocabulary for each level and lesson would be a good help to lock in the words.

The other thing is; this copy of Rosetta Stone that I have doesn't work in the "record your voice" feature. Anyone else have this problem with their copy?

Thanx in advance,

Tod in Bangkok

I was under the impression that it doesn't come with a workbook. I seem to recall having a multi-language version which had the stock sentences for all the versions on a pdf, but only written in English. If I still have it on disc then I'll try to find it and if there is any Thai I'll let you know.

Yes, I also remember it's on the CD as a PDF file. I found Rosetta stone not useful for beginning student of Thai language because really everything is in Thai and there's no explanation about the Thai writing system. It's also not useful for the advanced student, because there's nothing in it an advanced student wouldn't know.

I have tried the record your voice function with the Japanese Rosetta stone. I could convince the program I was talking very correct, while I was intentionally saying something completely different from what was shown. It just doesn't work as it should be.

I agree, the language sample's are very formal and you are unlikely to hear many of the phrases used in everyday Thai and when you are learning you want some usable dialogue, not just to be able to point to things and say what they are or what they are doing.

Additionally, to a beginner learner of Thai that cannot read Thai script, its very difficult to make out the the sounds of what is actually being said and so you are totally guessing which parts of the sentance relate to what.

Stick to some of the other more rounded learning materials if you want to actually use what you are learning.
